How's your faith? Is your faith in the Lord today as strong as it was the day you met Him? Is your faith in the Lord today as strong as it was before you ever heard the word COVID-19? Is your faith in the Lord today as strong as it was before that loved one became an addict? Is your faith in the Lord today as strong as it was before your spouse walked out? There are so many times when our faith can be shaken. The world is always giving us new reasons to worry. However, is God less faithful just because we are facing trouble?
When we become a Christian, God gives us new life, forgiveness, his Holy Spirit and salvation. We find it no trouble to follow him. However, if we don't continue to follow Him, stay in His Word, and meet with other Christians, we will become stagnant and our growth will be stunted. I want to encourage us all to dig deeper into God's Word and in prayer. During this COVID-19 Quarantine, God has provided many of us extra time at home. How will we spend this extra time?
The Lord is my personal Savior and friend. He's not someone far off that may or may not have time for me. He loves me and has called me for a purpose. He longs for me to sit with Him and be filled up. I can get so easily distracted with life that I forget to spend quality time with my very source of life.
Therefore , since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)
Let's press in and grow deeper together!
