Covid-19 has not caught God off-guard!

What a interesting time to be alive!  Most of us are experiencing situations we have never had to face; stores not having groceries,  church buildings empty and services online,  strange sicknesses and more.  You can almost see the anxiety looming in the air.  Will I get sick?  Will my loved ones get sick?  Will I keep my job?  Will there be milk to buy tomorrow?  The questions are flooding social media and our hearts.

I want to share with you some things on my heart during this crazy time:

1.  God is still in control:  This statement is a fact.  Even though we don't understand all that is going on, we can rest assured our Creator does.  This is when we trust His heart towards us.  He loves us dearly.

2.  You don't have to be perfect:  We are embarking on a territory that most of  us have never been.  We may not do it all perfectly.  We may get upset, cry or lose our temper.  We may have a sad day where we feel the best is behind us. We may feel we can't take another day with a house full of people and noise.  However, when we are weak don't forget that it's God's strength that will carry us through, not ours.  God's word is SO important to battle the negativity that rages on during a time like this.  Rely on God.  Lock yourself in a bathroom and pray.  Turn on Christian music and put up postcards filled with scripture. We all need God.  We are all weak.  It's Christ in us, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)

3. This too shall pass:  Believe it or not we will not always be in this exact position of life.  This time next year we will be facing different situations.  Better times will come again and hardships will come again as well.  Will things be like they were before the Corona Virus Epidemic?  No they won't because we won't be the same.  God is growing us and teaching us through the things He allows us to go through.  If we surrender to Him and trust Him, He can do great things in our hearts and minds.

Please know we are praying for you and you are not alone.  God is with you.  He sees your needs and has the resources.  He sees your pain and has the remedy.  He sees your heart and can fill you to overflowing.  The Corona Virus did not take God off guard.  We are in good hands.

In His Grip,
