Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus? Some of us have grown up hearing about God's Son. We know He is one part of the Trinity. We know He was Mary's son. We know He gave His life on a cross in order that we could have forgiveness and salvation.  We know alot about Him, but do we know Him? Who is Jesus to you personally? Can you trust Him with every detail of of your life?  Is He your strength when you are weak? Is He your peace and security? In Matthew 16, Jesus asked His disciples who people were saying He was.  However, He went on to ask, " But who do YOU say I am?".  What a question!
During this Christmas week, let's ask ourselves that same question.  Who is Jesus to me? Is He just someone that I've grown up hearing about? Is He someone that I keep at  a distance and call on when I'm in need?  Is He on the throne of my heart?  Is He my personal Savior?  For me, Jesus is my Personal Counselor, my Savior, my Hope, my Healing, my Friend, my Strength, my Peace, my Joy, and much more.  I have had a personal relationship with Jesus for 23 years now.   He IS the greatest gift I've ever been given.  He IS the greatest gift this world has ever been given.  I encourage you to ponder these questions and ask yourself this question: Who is Jesus?

One last scripture:
I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.  Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him.  I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.  For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith.  I want to KNOW CHRIST and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead.  I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!    Philippians 3:7-11
